Bacteria know own language of dialogue

Scientists from Israel have found out, that bacteria have the communications mechanism thanks to which can "communicate" with each other.

Traditionally bacteria are considered as the closed organisms, however, their culture seldom prove as set of odded unicellular individuals. Instead, they form community, communicating among themselves and showing properties of multicellular formation.
The Israeli experts in the work describe a secret allocated with bacteria, and serving by an original signalling device in community. This communicative factor is some kind of the trigger starting the mechanism of self-destruction of cells in case of foreign matter of an environment. Such mechanism causing spontaneous death of a bulk unicellulared, according to scientists, is a key to a survival of all population.
Functioning studying "the suicide module" (so the isolated area in a chromosome is called, is charged with an organism suicide), allows scientists to hope for creation of new antibiotics in the near future.
The factor promoting dialogue of bacteria, is peptide (very short protein), synthesised bacteria. Professor Engelberg-Kulka's, the head of these works, has noticed, that studying protein has allowed as to allocate some genes participating in synthesis of protein-murderer. This achievement - one more help for the future designers of medical products.
If you want to be successful you must look successful.
